I will leave it to you
To copy the words
Onto the pretty paper.
I will leave it to you
To find the worth
In the half sentences
And fragmented phrases.
I will leave it to you
To remember me as I was.
Not as I am now
Filled with bitterness
And sorrow.
I will leave it to you
To continue the struggle
To find the goodness and
Light left on this planet.
I will leave it to you
Because I no longer
Have the strength
To see it through.
