Here is where you might expect some blathering about yin-yang. Not from me. Not today. It&#039;s too obvious, anyway.

Let&#039;s take it into another direction. Consider personal growth. We may want to consider someone else&#039;s personal growth since it&#039;s far more difficult to consider our own.

What if personal growth is a matter of self creation -- of re-creation? We could say that stagnant personal growth is a matter of fossilization.

For the day, observe people&#039;s outward evidence of personal growth and see which -- if any -- of the eight forces are at work. See if the eight forces are more intense, have more energy, are more distinctive in growing, creating people than in the stagnant, fossilizing people.</description>
