Responsibility is the polar opposite of victimhood. There can be no peace in your own life as a victim, only contempt, cynicism and despair. It's easy to bitch and complain. Being responsible requires the willingness to set aside complaining for the sake of something. In this case, it's for the sake of peace in your own life and the community in which you exist.
